This is the most effective product I have ever used to relieve bunion pain. I tried other splints and such, but this is completely different. Although the stretch feels gentle, it really is very effective. I have been able to wear them inside my giant Crocs with thin socks, which is great. Although my Crocs are not particularly attractive, I am grateful that I can wear the splints during the day because they train my feet to walk in a more aligned way. I also wear them at night and have no problems sleeping with them on. Other splints would cause irritation or pain, but these are just great. Well, I did experience some itching and rubbing from the velcro once, but that was only because I didn’t take the time to put the split on correctly. So far, this is by far the best product out there for bunions. I have only used them consistently for a few weeks, so I will be sure to update in a couple of months.

I had another bunion regulator that was a lot cheaper from Foot Smart, but in this instance, you get what you pay for. That one was to wear only at night, but it was so uncomfortable I found myself getting up in the middle of the night and taking it off. This one I have no trouble wearing all night, and in fact it can be worn during the day in shoes. It is easy to adjust, too. Definitely worth it for anyone with a bunion who wants to avoid having it get any worse.

I purchased this product after trying several others for managing my moderate & beginning bunions. At first it seemed too gentle for the moderate bunion so I wore it for the beginner one. It became VERY comfortable at night and the hinged part worked fine with large shoes, but did cause pain after several hours of walking. Despite looking gentle, it did a fine job of straightening my toe (& reducing pain & discomfort). AND it turned out to be much more comfortable at night than the other products I purchased. I now use it at night alternately for both feet since it fits left or right foot equally well. This is a wonderful product for managing bunions gently at home – at night – with positive results. I am a delighted customer.

Thanks to my mom’s genes I’m punished with these ugly bumps on my feet. But at least now I can walk, run and dance again. This little device called Bunion Aid does magic to my feet. Fifty dollars well spent! I can wear it at home and at night, I can walk in it, it’s comfortable and it relieves my pain. I can finally kick off my high heels after work or going out and give my bunion pain a break!!!

I have just bought this item about 2 weeks ago, and I have been using it as often as possible. I used to have pretty bad bunion, and after I played tennis for a couple of hours, my feet hurts, especially my left foot. After using this product as often as I possibly can, my bunion has reduced it sizes by about a 1/3 and my big toe is no longer pushing on my 2nd toe, but the best part is my feet does not hurt as bad as they used to. The big plus about this product vs its competitors is that there is a hinged which makes it possible to wear it even around the house and not just in bed, which means the problem can be corrected faster. The 2nd plus about this product is it comes with a separate little cushion that can be placed underneath my flat foot and it gives me great arch support. I am so happy with this product that I bought another one for my right foot last week. I have also bought the arch support from this company for my outdoor activities, like tennis, and I have to say they are the best arch supports I ever had.I would recommend these products to anyone that has bunion and/or flat feet issues. It is more expensive than its competitors, but it works and is worth every penny.

I never thought I’d have issues with my feet at 34yrs of age. I’ve only been using the bunion aid for a couple of months, but so far I LOVE IT! I don’t have too much pain from my bunion yet but I can see my big toe turning in towards my other toes, causing my right foot to get “wider”. Being that I’m a marathon runner and soccer player, I do not want surgery but I do want to remain as pain free as possible during and after any athletic activities. I wear my bunion aid every night. Its so comfortable I don’t even notice it. (During the day, I wear a gel insert between my big toe and second toe, which helps a little but I LOVE how the bunion aid “pulls” my big toe away from the others.) I’m going to order another one for my left foot in hopes to prevent a bunion on that foot. I’m prone to have horrible bunions since I have my grandma’s feet…which I must say look quite uncomfortable & not too cute at the age of 85. I highly recommend this product and have recommended it to others I know. Go Bunion Aid!!

This is the only aid for my bunion that really works. I’ve used this particular aid for over a year now. The toe is not as deformed (heading sideways) as before. I wear the splint every day inside sneakers with a wide toe box (advised by the foot doctor) and it it making me walk more correctly. It is washable and comfortable and I’m impressed by how much it helps. Most bunion aids are too soft and moveable to provide enough pull to change anything. This one can be strapped in place. That being said, once the bunion (bone formation) is established, you shouldn’t expect, as some ads for OTHER aids will infer, that your toe will go completely back to normal. But this hinged splint certainly has stopped progression of the deformity and has even reversed the alignment some. It’s the only bunion aid I’ll bother using.

I had a bunion that was interfering with my biking, running, hiking and even daily walking. After looking into the options available to treat bunions, i found this product online and decided to give it a try since it was reasonably priced compared to the alternative of getting surgery. I was skeptical at first, but after using it for a few weeks i couldn’t believe the relief it gave me! Thanks Bunion Aid!

It took about 5 mins to figure out how to use this and its easy to switch from one foot to the other every other day, so you only need one. Easy to sleep with, and an overall well-designed product. Now it remains to be seen whether it helps control the bunion – only time will tell.

I was hesitant to buy this product; $50 is a lot of money for something that’s not guaranteed to work. Still…it’s cheaper than surgery, and I was sick of months of foot pain. I decided to live dangerously and try this device. I am SO GLAD that I did. Within a week my foot was feeling better, even though I was only wearing the brace for up to an hour, then two, at a time (the manufacturer recommends starting off slowly.) After a couple weeks I was sleeping through the night in it. After one month, there was NO PAIN. I could even do things that previously hurt, like flexing my big toe for lunges during my gym class. I’m so glad to have my range of motion back, not to mention pain-free feet! I still sleep in this device every other night or so. I don’t know if it will prevent surgery in the long run, but it sure is helping for now. I hope it helps you, too. Life is too short for sore feet.

It has been 2 weeks that I’ve had the Bunion Aid and my bunions don’t hurt anymore. Isn’t that amazing?! Just two weeks! I wear it a few hours a day or night, alternating feet. I’m just 21 and I have moderate bunions, the big toe on my right foot presses into the second toe, and many shoes I can’t wear because of the width where the bone presses out. =( After working a double as a waiter, my feet were killing me. They had never hurt so badly. I had to call out of work to lay in bed all day after that double. My bunions were apparently getting worse, and I was down to tears searching online for relief. I am so glad I found the Bunion Aid! I ordered it next-day shipping and it arrived timely. I recommend this product 100%!

Great product! I’m feeling a measureable amount of pain relief after only a week of use. The splint is well made and I’ve been able to wear it under a wide width tennis shoe. Surgery will come one day for me but I just bought myself some time. I would recommend the item to anyone who’s considering surgery and wants to try one last thing. The price is a little more than the other splints out there but this one allows for mobility that the others don’t have.

This contraption is great! Walking with it on is retraining my foot–so much better than just sleeping with that other kind. And the pad for the ball of the foot is wonderful. I need inserts like that for all my shoes. The best part, that they don’t even mention, is that the hinged part is in perfect alignment for the way your toe should eventually be. I can tell how close or far my toe is and will be able to see progress over time when I can pull the toe closer as my foot realigns. The other ones have no such guide. I realize how “blind” I was using them. If you are even just starting to form a bunion or if yours is bad like mine (I’m hoping this will help me avoid surgery), get this thing now!

I have the bunions from he*l. I wear these sometimes at night when I sleep. they are strong enough to hold my big toe aligned and give me great relief. they are comfortable and actually work. the hinge is nice. I don’t wear them around in the day nor in a shoe. ive tried and I guess you could if you really needed to. to be honest I just wear them in bed when my foot hurts so bad I can’t sleep. I only need to wear them periodically but when I need them there’s nothing like them and I sleep great. a lot of the other models I’ve looked at don’t seem to be strong enough to crank my toe back over where it should be. this one is strong, well built and comfortable.

I have feet size around 36-37 which I think is size 5-6 for the U.S. scale. This product is really good. It gives my flat feet some arch with the bottom padding and I can feel the weight shift to my heals and center of my feet, in oppose to the usual weight I put on my toes when walking. It helps to keep my bunion on the right position and best of all it reduces pain when walking. The one thing I don’t really like though, is how when I tighten the main band, that it actually cuts into the fold of my feet when I stand upright. But the good thing is that making it a little loose will do the trick without losing too much of its ability to straighten the big toe. However, I doubt that I’ll be able run around with it for hours because the main band still cuts a little unless you put some padding underneath it.

I have used this device for 2 years now and I’m thrilled to say that I love it! You mustn’t expect miracles–it won’t fix anything, so don’t think your bunion will go away or even get smaller–but the relief I now get at night and even when I’m walking around in my slippers is phenomenal. I not only have a bunion, but also capsulitis, and this lets me sleep in comfort after years of suffering. I wear orthotics during the day and the device at night, and I’m as close to pain free as I guess I’ll ever get without surgery. My only complaint is it’s too hard to keep clean; I live in a house with several cats and dogs and this little jewel picks up and hangs onto pet hair so tightly, it’s impossible to scrub it out. But you can always buy replacement straps and pads for a little more than 1/2 the cost of a new device. I’m sold!
Update March 2013: I have been reading the negative reviews, and it seems nearly all are made under the misconception that the device is supposed to “cure” a bunion; when the product doesn’t cure the reviewers, they give it a bad review. Of course the device won’t cure the condition, but there’s nothing in the amazon description that should make you expect that result (the use of the term “correction” means correction of alignment, not correction of condition–nothing but surgery will do that). Having said that, I’ve been talking to my orthopedic surgeon about my condition and, when I showed the splint to him and explained how much it eased my discomfort at night, he agreed it was a good device for that purpose. That’s not a medical endorsement, but it’s a good indication that the device does what it claims.
Update April: 2013: It occurred to me the size of this device should be addressed. I wear Woman’s 8M shoes and, happily, the device fits me pretty well; however, if my foot were smaller than a Woman’s 8, the device would be too big for me. And if I had a larger foot, it would probably be too short. It’s somewhat adjustable for width, but not for length. Just thought you should know.

I bought two bunion products – this one and FootSmart Bunion Regulator- White, LEFT W5-8/M5. This product (Bunion Aid Hinged splint) is by far the better unit. This unit can be strapped securely to either foot and can be worn in shoes, but you need a bit of space to accommodate it. I achieved a noticeable correction of my bunion with this product that helped eliminate the pain I was experiencing. The hinge on this product, if correctly secured to your foot, will work like it’s a part of your foot when you move, which in my mind makes this a better product. The other product is best worn at night and without the hinge, it doesn’t feel very comfortable. Fully adjustable closures with no snaps or buttons allows for a snug and comfortable fit. This product is more expensive than others, but if used correctly, it works – and it’s comfortable.

I have been looking for this product for years. I have spent a lot of money on products that were totally useless or close but not quite right. I was starting to experience foot pain just laying in bed. But this has solved that and it’s so comfortable. As this condition is inherited and my mothers feet are really deformed – I feel I’m slowing down the progress by wearing them all night. So if you are just starting to get a bunion get one of these to wear at night. I’ve been wearing mine for months and it really is well made.

I tried several less expensive products before buying this one. There’s an elastic piece which fits inside your shoe for everyday wear, but by mid day I feel the constriction in the normal blood flow. So I finally opted to order the $65 product, and so far I’m happy with it. It does the biomechanics correction after fiddling with the straps, it allows the movement of 1st MTP joint, but unless you’re wearing uggs (I am wearing the house closed slippers from uggs) it won’t fit into a normal shoe. In my professional view, I believe that the product it is meant for wear a few hours at the time. For example, if you’re comfortable to wear it in bed at night, or walk with it around the house would be sufficient for the intent of the product. No other straps feel comfortable in a normal shoe, but the other alternative would be to kinesio tape yourself for the whole day correction (learn how to do it by finding a kinesio taping physical therapist who could teach you).

Bunion Aid Hinged Splint – Just great! My bunion use to be painful even just resting my foot on the mattress. After used this product for about 20 days & using it about 10 hrs a day. Bunion use to be smaller & soften now. I stop using high heel shoes which more then an inch high & try to be selective towards comfort rather then sexy shoes. But the product do help a lot & safe me from going through the knife! Thanks guys for your comment too!

I had bunion surgery years ago, and I am so upset that my bunion returned!! I am quite sure I do not want to go there again, so I searched and finally found the ultimate bunion splint- the Bunion Aid. This one is different from all the rest because it has a hinge, allowing you to walk naturally while your big toe is being realigned. What a concept! It is ingenious. First of all it is very comfortable, second it is easy to wear just around the house after work or after a nice hike or walk when your feet need support. The strap around the mid-foot gives great support unlike many other rigid or soft splints. I sleep with it on every night too. It actually does what it says- moves the big toe back over where it should be. It takes a few months to really see the correction begin to hold. But that time is nothing considering how long it took for the bunion to develop in the first place. I think this Spring I will look forward to wearing sandals again without being embarrassed about my ugly bunions. I highly recommend this unique hinged splint. It has been worth the money to me.

I’ve tried several other bunion splits, with limited success. Even though a podiatrist told me that this split wouldn’t do any good, I can testify that he was wrong. I’ve been using it about 2 months, right foot only. My bunion wasn’t bad yet, but getting worse. I only wear the splint at night, and these are my results – the redness over the bunion area is gone, the discomfort of wearing certain shoes or sandals is gone, and the stiffness of flexing my big toe is gone. There is still an obvious lump, but I actually think it is smaller, and certainly no bigger. I am a fan of this product.
